Introducing Mr. Kibong Lee, Senior Technical Adviser, Regional and Metropolitan Planning Unit, Urban Planning and Design Branch
Dear Colleagues
I am pleased to introduce you to our new colleague, Mr. Kibong Lee, a Korean national. Mr Lee joined UN-Habitat on Monday 25 June 2018 as Senior Technical Adviser in Regional and Metropolitan Planning Unit within the Urban Planning and Design Branch. Mr. Lee will be supporting the Unit on National Urban Policies, New Town Development and Smart Cities. He will also be the main focal point for the Republic of Korea within the Unit.
Before joining UN-Habitat, He worked for key departments of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Korea for more than 17 years. He was in charge of new towns development and public agencies relocation projects in Korea. As Director of Overseas Infrastructure Development Division, he supported urban and infrastructure master plans in the developing countries.
He also served other Korean government agencies including Office of the President as Assistant Secretary and Office of Development and Settlement of Sejong City as Director. He holds Master's degree in public Affairs from Indiana University in the United States of America. He graduated from Seoul National University with B.A.
He is located in Block 3, level 2, North Wing in the New Office Facility in Gigiri, Nairobi.
