Master’s degree in Architecture.
15 years of experience in Sustainable Urban Development Projects and City Transformation Projects.
Supports the programme for achieving sustainable urban development for UN-Habitat and coordinates pilot projects in the Philippines, Rwanda, and Mozambique. Currently developing a planning methodology and training format for sustainable urban development.
Recent work include the strategic plan for Germany's Ruhr region, and city transformation and extension projects in Baghdad and Moscow.
Has taught at the Berlage in Rotterdam, NL, the University for Science & Arts in Aleppo, Syria and lectured at Tsinghua University in Beijing, Strelka in Moscow, UPC in Barcelona, and AUB in Beirut among others. Currently guest chair of urbanism at RISEBA, Riga.
