As part of our part of our Covid mitigating measures, we continue encouraging staff to maintain and observe the necessary guidelines as shared by the government health ministry and UN-JMS. Key among them include:

• Regular hand washing with proper drying of the hands

• Good respiratory hygiene – covering mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, using tissues and disposing of them correctly

• Early self-isolation of those feeling unwell, feverish and/or having other symptoms of influenza

• Avoiding close contact with sick people

• Avoiding touching one’s eyes, nose or mouth

COVID ANTIBODY TEST

We are pleased to announce that JMS has continued to  undertake Covid-19 Antibody testing following receipt of test kits known as “SD Biosensor COVID-19 IgM/IgG antibody Duo” (C19 antibody test) from headquarters.  This is FREE for all staffs, interns consultants and dependents.

This test is designed to look for the body’s immune response (antibodies) to the virus which are detectable in blood at about the second week after infection, and it will serve to determine the prevalence among our staff at the duty station.

Please see the Frequently Asked Questions here for more information. To ensure quality control and adequate documentation, samples are collected at JMS and analysis is done with our current lab service provider.

To ensure we maintain distancing guidelines at the clinic, this Campaign day is ONLY limited to booked clients. Kindly secure your appointment for the day by sending an email to UNON-JMS-medical@un.org

NB: No time will be allocated but all should  book and remember to come with your vaccination card.
