Introduction of new staff member, Marie-Pia Tixier in Urban Legislation Unit

17 Feb 2016

Please join me in welcoming a new staff member to the Urban Legislation Unit, Marie-Pia Tixier. Marie-Pia holds a double major degree in law and legal translation (English and Spanish languages - Institut Superieur d'Interpetation et de Traduction, Paris) . She then obtained a masters degree in real estate and construction law (Paris Panthéon-Assas University). In her practice, Marie-Pia specialized in real estate law. She first joined Audier & Partners law firm in Vietnam, where she was principally working on real estate and land law issues. She then joined the legal department of Christian Dior Couture retail company (Paris), dealing specifically with issues related to commercial leases for stores located in the Middle East and Asia.

She then worked in the legal department of a real estate development company located in Paris (acting in developing urban outskirts and refurbishment of existing retail zones), providing assistance to development & works departments on urban and construction law matters. Marie-Pia is based in Nairobi and will be working across the full range of projects that the Legislation Unit is involved with.

She already has a UN-Habitat e-mail address and we hope that her telephone extension will be connected shortly.
