Introducing Ms Lisette Albrechtsen and Ms Gladys Huchu - Urban Basic Services Branch

Welcome note for two new advisors, Ms Lisette Albrechtsen, a Danish national and Ms Gladys Huchu, a Zimbabwean national who have joined the Urban Basic Services Branch. Their main tasks will be to support  formulation and implementation of water, sanitation and energy related projects.

 

Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to introduce two new advisors, Ms Lisette Albrechtsen, a Danish national and Ms Gladys Huchu, a Zimbabwean national who have joined the Urban Basic Services Branch. Their main tasks will be to support  formulation and implementation of water, sanitation and energy related projects.

 Prior to joining UN-Habitat, Lisette worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark both in France and in headquarters where she facilitated business partnerships and foreign direct investments into the Danish (renewable) energy and cleantech industries. Lisette has a Master of Science in International Business and Politics acquired through studies in the US and Denmark. In her work, Lisette will mainly focus on project conceptualization and  formulation for energy and water and sanitation initiatives.

Gladys has an MSc in Regional Development Planning and Management from Technical University of Dortmund, Germany and Universidad Austral de Chile, Chile.  Prior to joining UN-Habitat, Gladys worked with Great Zimbabwe University as a Lecturer for Local Governance Studies programme as well as with various research organisations on issues pertaining livelihoods' and food security, baseline surveys for water and sanitation and facilitated capacity building programs for local governments in Zimbabwe. Her main task will focus on implementation and monitoring  of global water and sanitation programmes sub-Saharan Africa.
