Introducing Helene Opsal - Risk Reduction and Rehabilitation Branch (RRRB)

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to introduce Helene Opsal who recently joined the Risk Reduction and Rehabilitation Branch (RRRB). She will be focussed on supporting the RRRBs Emergency preparedness and response mechanisms. Helene is a Norwegian JPO who started working with UN-Habitat and the Urban Economy Branch's Youth Unit in 2013. While with the Youth Unit, she focused on mainstreaming and cross-cutting issues, inter-agency collaboration, research, project development and implementation.

She has previously worked with UNDP's Regional Center for Arab States in Cairo, the Norwegian Red Cross, as well as UNDP Iraq and OSCE in Turkmenistan. She holds an MSc in comparative politics from the London School of Economics.
