Executive Directors Policy Statement : First Session of UN-Habitat Assembly 27-31 may 2019, Nairobi Kenya

The present Policy Statement elaborates UN-Habitat’s response to current and emerging challenges in cities and other human settlements, supported by statistical evidence and policy analysis. It presents a coherent set of interventions, including flagship programmes and actions that reposition the agency as a major global entity and a centre of excellence and innovation; a knowledge-based organization that works closely with UN agencies and a host of development partners in support of national governments and local authorities in the pursuit of sustainable urban development.
