Accessing Medical Services during movement restrictions

07 May 2020

The Kenyan Government has now applied additional movement restrictions to certain areas as part of its concerted efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic in Kenya.

The restriction of movement into and out of Eastleigh area (within Nairobi Metropolitan area) and Old town area within Mombasa county is now in effect as from 6th May 2020.

The current movement restrictions and possible future extensions of the same highlights the importance of being familiar with alternative medical support channels at this time.

At JMS, we endeavor to be accessible on 24/7 basis. Our emergency lines are open to you even after normal office hours regardless of where you are calling from.

Our 24hr contacts are also open for both COVID-19 and Non-COVID-19 emergencies or queries: Emergency call line: Tel: +254 724 255 378 OR Email:

UNDSS has also provided guidance on how to access services after curfew hours

Kindly take note of these additional medical support channels:

  • Hospitals: Various health facilities are now offering tele-consultation and prescription delivery services including Aga Khan , MP-Shah and  Nairobi Hospital .
  • Insurance Telehealth: Cigna insurance has also availed tele-health services to all UN personnel under their medical plan.

We continue to encourage application of COVID-19 prevention measures in line with recommended guidelines such as physical distancing, consistent hand hygiene practice,

cough etiquette and also  seeking help when ill
